The Concept
Butterfly Effect captures a profound moment of personal transformation: the vulnerability of shedding a skin that no longer fits and the courage required to welcome a new evolution.
Inspired by the delicate yet far-reaching influence of a butterfly's wings, the work reflects on the unseen ways our choices, experiences, and smallest actions shape the course of our lives.
Signature Iconography
The Crimson Thread
An emblem of protection, connection, and the invisible threads that link our experiences.
The Abstract Wings
A delicate butterfly silhouette rising behind the figure, symbolizing transformation and the freedom to become.
Sculptural Depth
The central figure is physically raised from the canvas through layered modeling paste, creating a dimensional composition beneath the protective resin surface.
The Poetic Catalyst
The inspiration behind this work is the idea that every moment matters.
Our choices, unexpected encounters, and seemingly insignificant actions contribute to the extraordinary complexity of being alive.
Like butterflies creating ripples beyond what the eye can see, our existence touches the world in ways we may never fully understand.
An original reflection by Alejandra León.
